Many solid surfaces have experienced a product boom, since both the materials being produced and the techniques for installing them have improved. Some offer choices of custom materials not found in natural stone, great resistance to wear and stainage, and even, repairability in the event the material experiences light damage. If interested in the solid surfaces you will want to investigate these by brand, of course.

The counter as a horizontal surface will normally be noticeable among the appearance of the floor, with many stones casting their own degrees of glossy sheens, from low to very high for some fabricated granites. Laminates appear more subdued, as do most solid surface materials.
